Meet the Board
Micah Clark serves as Board President. Micah graduated from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO with a bachelor’s degree in political science. He has served with Indiana’s top statewide pro-family organizations including Indiana Family Institution, Citizens Concerned for the Constitution (now Advance America), and the American Family Association of Indiana. He has been the Executive Director of AFA Indiana since November 2001. Micah is married and has two children
Cathie Humbarger serves as Vice President of the board. Cathie was born and raised in Columbus, IN, but has been a Fort Wayne resident for decades. She has served on the founding board of A Hope Center, the first pregnancy resource center in Ft. Wayne. She was the VP of policy enforcement for Indiana Right to Life, her coordinated efforts to enforce local laws and ordinances led to the closure of three abortion facilities. She served for nearly two decades as Executive Director of the Right to Life of NE Indiana, then moved on to found ReProtection. She served as director of public policy for Safe Haven Baby Boxes. Her voice is still prominent in the pro-life movement. She is married to Rick, they have three children and many grands.
Claudia Burns, CPA serves at the Treasurer. She holds a Bachelor’s in International Business from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Post-Baccalaureate degree in Accounting from Purdue, Fort Wayne. She has served on many non-profit boards and oversees the financial operations as the CFO of Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne. Her expertise in budgeting, reporting, and organization is vital to the team. Claudia loves to travel and garden. She has two children who are her joy.
Kristen Bissontz serves as the Secretary. She is an experienced homeschool advocate with over two decades of lead learning. Kristen serves her community as the Region 3 representative for IAHE as well as Board President of the Ft. Wayne Area Homeschools. She oversees multiple campuses as a Local Representative for Classical Conversations and has directed programs for middle and high school. She graduated with a BS in Secondary Science Education from Miami University and recently received her Masters of Arts in Classical Studies from SEU with an emphasis in pedagogy. Her passion for true educational freedom, parental rights, and educational policy make her an asset. Kristen and her husband Jay have four children they raise on a 35-acre homestead.
