Our Story

In 2014 a group of concerned citizens fought against a casino initiative in downtown Fort Wayne at the grassroots level. That group operated under the name of the Coalition for a Better Fort Wayne. When a casino tried again in 2024 in New Haven, the group of concerned citizens fought again, this time under the name of The Coalition for a Better Allen Co. Both times, this grassroots effort won and kept the community free from the ills that predatory gaming brings.

This newly formed NFP wanted to stay true to the idea of a grassroots coalition of citizens, hence The Coalition for a Better Indiana. We don't want to be a large, single-issue organization. Instead, we can respond to the needs of our neighbors swiftly, efficiently, with decades of experience and compassion.

While we are starting in NE Indiana, we hope to serve the entire state.
